yesterday was musical evening. i went to school at around 8.15am to practice with the band.then we set off at 10.15, or mayb a little later. we reached esplanade at around 11am. the concert starts at 7.30pm and we're there by 11 can u believe it? at first i thought it was stupid but later i knew y. we didn't have much time. cos we had to familiarise ourselves with the stage and the everywhere. hahaha there was one funny room called the green room. where we ate our lunch n dinner. it was kinda green. with all the plants n everything. a while after we reached, we had a rehearsal to mark our positions on stage. n to try out everything, lightings...blah blah blah. wow i jus loved the backstage..the dressing rooms were even nicer.. i never thought i could change in one like that. they were exactly the kinds we see on tv. there were rows n rows of mirrors. which had light bulbs lining them. each individual table had a mirror, some tiny little drawers but i never used them. even the restroom had some perfumy fragrance in them. there were bout 4 cubicles to bathe but i didn't use them to bathe, i used it to change. the whole experience was jus.....so cool. i felt like a little princess. hahaha that seemed a little wrong. it seemed non-stop. after lunch,2 bread n a chicken patty stuffed inside which came from mac(n that's not the worst),we started putting on make up n everything, then we had another rehearsal. something called a full run thing. oh i forgot. we ate in our costumes. some of us had to stuff the whole thing in our mouths cos we didn't wanna dance with a burger in our hand.after that rehearsal, it was going to 6 i think. i lost track of time when i was there. cos the digital clocks were all in the corridors hung up on the ceiling. we took a little break then ate dinner.not-so-cooked rice with not-cooked-at-all vegetables and chicken (definitely not boneless) after dinner we had to queue again. for make up. the room was really small. luckily, we requested for the bigger rooms, the ones with all the mirrors. for make up we jus had to make do with the small ones, when u can hardly breathe with 70 people inside.but miraculously, all of us got our make up done. maybe cos of the amount of time we had. ok not very miraculous. i don't noe wad happened but this whole time thhe clock has been ticking n i dont even realise it. it's THe time. THE time that will change all of our lives...ok this is so exaggerating...i'm going mad. it was 7.00pm. the house is open n everyone was on standby mode. hahaha so funny. standby mode. but yea.
concert time!!! the band started playing. i was still doing my eyebrows. then the seniors had to go backstage. soon it was the Joyous Celebrations. doesn't really seem joyous to me. we dropped two fans. they said it was even better than rehearsal. so i guessed we handled it well. my hands were trembling before i went on stage. but samba wasn't so bad. it's like i'm used to it ald. so we did well too. omg. bumble bee was like THe biggest success. even though i wasn't in it. but i was so touched n happy that i had water in my eyes. oh god. i was like overcome with emotion. bleh. but yea. nice feeling.oh god it's so long. nvm. read all u want. the finale was nice too. then after the whole concert everyone was cheering.i couldnt find my mum..she told me she was sitting in the circle seats there n i was looking at the audience in front of me all the time. i'm so sad it's over. haiz...i'll never forget it.
